UNIQUEL-IZER TDM and UNIQUEL-IZER LE TDM for Pro Tools HD and Venue
RNDigital has released it's EQ plug-in UNIQUEL-IZER and UNIQUEL-IZER LE as Pro Tools HD TDM versions.
Both RNDigital EQ's have become a mainstay for most audio engineers worldwide. The most frequent request made was for a TDM version of those two plug-ins.
The TDM implementation has been carefully coded to produce the same "sound" as with the RTAS versions. Both EQ's are often used in many instances in one project. With RTAS this can add up to a high processor load and RTAS induced latency issues. The TDM incarnation eliminates such limitations.
In Pro Tools HD, only TDM plug-ins stay online during recording while RTAS plug-ins are bypassed.
FINIS TDM for Pro Tools HD and Venue
RNDigital, Inc. has released its brick wall limiter FINIS as TDM plug-in for Pro Tools HD 7+ for Mac and Windows.
CEO Reinhold Probst comments: "RNdigital has always recognized Digidesign's Pro Tools HD as the leading DAW platform for professional studios. While RTAS plug-ins are supported with Pro Tools HD there are several advantages to using TDM versions especially with plug-ins that might be used on several tracks within one project. Our brick wall limiter Finis appears to be especially useful in live mixing applications, where its TDM incarnation can now be used with Digidesign's VENUE systems. Adding FINIS TDM to any VENUE system should be a worthwhile upgrade."
RNDigital defines new Terms and Definitions for DYNAM-IZER
In
the past few month RNDigital has spent lots of time thinking about
dynamic sound processing. With our revolutionary Dynam-izer tool we
have witnessed how many customers have come to understand the myriad of
new options that are available with this dynamic audio processing
technology. We had to accept the fact that the correct language often
does not exist to describe what exactly can be done with Dynam-izer.
Zone based dynamic processing simply can not be explained very well by
using traditional compression terms and definitions such as threshold
and ratio.
After many a nights discussion we have finally come up with a "white paper" defining badly needed new terms and definitions for dynamic audio processing.

SPL-IZER Multi band Router Plug-in Released
RNDigital is proud to announce the release of SPL-IZER
The SPL-IZER is an adjustable 3 band 24db per octave FIR (Finite Impulse Response) frequency splitter that allows the three bands to be isolated and routed to aux or instrument tracks for separate processing.
The use of FIR filters ensures that no phase shifting occurs at the frequency split points. With this tool, one can use for example ones favorite single band compressor (let's say uhm.. Dynam-izer) and make it 3 band.
There is of course a myriad of other potential uses, check it out for yourself.
The Spl-izer created buss signals ( SPL-IZER LOW, SPL-IZER MID and SPL-IZER HI) can then be inserted as input on any other track for further processing. A large Band level meter indicates both the crossover points and the audio level of each band
